Pleckgate Pupils Pitch Period Pain Solution at National Girls Summit

Two of Pleckgate’s bright and passionate pupils, Eliza and Evelin, had the incredible opportunity to represent the school at the Teach First x Sweaty Betty Girls Summit – an event focused on improving girls’ experiences in education and physical activity, particularly around periods.

The summit brought together pupils from across the country to reflect on a series of period-positive workshops, designed to challenge stigma and open up conversations about menstruation. Eliza and Evelin not only shared their insights from these sessions but also took the bold step of pitching a product they had designed themselves – a thoughtful and practical solution to help girls manage period pain more effectively.

Eliza and Evelin said they were thankful for the experience and loved the opportunity to collaborate and left them feeling empowered and inspired.

We are incredibly proud of both girls for representing Pleckgate with such maturity and passion – and for being role models in challenging taboos and driving forward change for young women everywhere.
