2021/22 Results

  • A Progress 8 score of +0.01 (indicating that pupils at least as much progress at Pleckgate than pupils of the same ability nationally)
  • Attainment 8 score: 45.5
  • 32% of pupils entering the English Baccalaureate
  • 22% of pupils achieving the English Baccalaureate
  • 83% of pupils achieved at least a grade 4 in English and 74% of pupils achieved at least a grade 4 in mathematics
  • 70% of pupils achieved a grade 4 in both English and mathematics
  • 62% of pupils achieved at least a grade 5 in English and 52% of pupils achieved at least a grade 5 in mathematics
  • 44% of pupils achieved a grade 5 in both English and mathematics
2020/21 Results 
Progress 8: In 2021, GCSE grades were awarded through teacher assessed grades due to the national lockdown for COVID-19.  The government made the decision to not publish progress 8 data as a result of this.  However, indicative data from a range of external comparison tools suggests that the progress at Pleckgate was once again above national average.

  • 15% of pupils achieving the English Baccalaureate
  • 79% of pupils achieved at least a grade 4 in English and 79% of pupils achieved at least a grade 4 in mathematics
  • 74% of pupils achieved a grade 4 in both English and mathematics
  • 67% of pupils achieved at least a grade 5 in English and 63% of pupils achieved at least a grade 5 in mathematics
  • 58% of pupils achieved a grade 5 in both English and mathematics
  • 35% of pupils achieved at least a grade 7 in mathematics with 17 pupils attaining the very highest grade 9 score
  • Internal data currently places 97.46% of pupils staying in education or employment after Key Stage 4
2019/20 Results

  • 83% of pupils achieved at least a grade 4 in English and 80% of pupils achieved at least a grade 4 in mathematics
  • 76% of pupils achieved a grade 4 in both English and mathematics
  • 66% of pupils achieved at least a grade 5 in English and 59% of pupils achieved at least a grade 5 in mathematics
  • 50% of pupils achieved a grade 5 in both English and mathematics
  • 32% of pupils achieved at least a grade 7 in mathematics with 21 pupils attaining the very highest grade 9 score
  • Internal data currently places 94% of pupils staying in education or employment after Key Stage 4

  • 37% of pupils entering the English Baccalaureate

  • 76% of pupils achieved at least a grade 4 in English and 71% of pupils achieved at least a grade 4 in mathematics
  • 67% of pupils achieved a grade 4 in both English and mathematics
  • 62% of pupils achieved at least a grade 5 in English and 52% of pupils achieved at least a grade 5 in mathematics
  • 46% of pupils achieved a grade 5 in both English and mathematics
  • 25% of pupils achieved at least a grade 7 in mathematics with 13 pupils attaining the very highest grade 9 score
  • 94% of pupils are staying in education or employment after Key Stage 4

2017-18 Results

  • A Progress 8 score of +0.1 (indicating that pupils make more progress at Pleckgate than pupils of the same ability nationally)
  • Attainment 8 score: 42.10
  • % achieving the English Baccalaureate: 12%
  • 71% of pupils achieved at least a grade 4 in English and 67% of pupils achieved at least a grade 4 in mathematics
  • 60% of pupils achieved a grade 4 in both English and mathematics
  • 55% of pupils achieved at least a grade 5 in English and 47% of pupils achieved at least a grade 5 in mathematics
  • 39% of pupils achieved a grade 5 in both English and mathematics
  • 23% of pupils achieved at least a grade 7 in mathematics with 10 pupils attaining the very highest grade 9 score
