Below are the results for the last four years for successive students at Pleckgate. These results show continued progress and excellent academic achievement.
2019/20 Results
  • Progress 8: In 2020, GCSE grades were awarded through centre assessed grades due to the national lockdown for covid-19. The government made the decision to not publish progress 8 data as a result of this. However, indicative data from a range of external comparison tools suggests that the progress at Pleckgate was once again above national average.
  • Attainment 8 score: 47.4
  • 41% of students entering the English Baccalaureate
  • 23% of students achieving the English Baccalaureate
  • 83% of students achieved at least a grade 4 in English and 80% of students achieved at least a grade 4 in mathematics
  • 76% of students achieved a grade 4 in both English and mathematics
  • 66% of students achieved at least a grade 5 in English and 59% of students achieved at least a grade 5 in mathematics
  • 50% of students achieved a grade 5 in both English and mathematics
  • 32% of students achieved at least a grade 7 in mathematics with 21 students attaining the very highest grade 9 score
  • Internal data currently places 94% of students staying in education or employment after Key Stage 4
2018-19 Results
  • A Progress 8 score of +0.16 (indicating that students make more progress at Pleckgate than students of the same ability nationally)
  • Attainment 8 score: 45.2
  • 37% of students entering the English Baccalaureate
  • 19% of students achieving the English Baccalaureate
  • 76% of students achieved at least a grade 4 in English and 71% of students achieved at least a grade 4 in mathematics
  • 67% of students achieved a grade 4 in both English and mathematics
  • 62% of students achieved at least a grade 5 in English and 52% of students achieved at least a grade 5 in mathematics
  • 46% of students achieved a grade 5 in both English and mathematics
  • 25% of students achieved at least a grade 7 in mathematics with 13 students attaining the very highest grade 9 score
  • 94% of students are staying in education or employment after Key Stage 4

2017-18 Results

  • A Progress 8 score of +0.1 (indicating that students make more progress at Pleckgate than students of the same ability nationally)
  • Attainment 8 score: 42.10
  • % achieving the English Baccalaureate: 12%
  • 71% of students achieved at least a grade 4 in English and 67% of students achieved at least a grade 4 in mathematics
  • 60% of students achieved a grade 4 in both English and mathematics
  • 55% of students achieved at least a grade 5 in English and 47% of students achieved at least a grade 5 in mathematics
  • 39% of students achieved a grade 5 in both English and mathematics
  • 23% of students achieved at least a grade 7 in mathematics with 10 students attaining the very highest grade 9 score

2016-17 Results

  • A Progress 8 score of +0.4 (indicating that students make more progress at Pleckgate than students of the same ability nationally)
  • Attainment 8 score: 47.70
  • % achieving the English Baccalaureate: 6%.
  • 82% of students achieved at least a grade 4 in English and 77% of students achieved at least a grade 4 in mathematics
  • 71% of students achieved a grade 4 in both English and mathematics
  • 63% of students achieved at least a grade 5 in English and 64% of students achieved at least a grade 5 in mathematics
  • 52% of students achieved a grade 5 in both English and mathematics
  • 30% of students achieved at least a grade 7 in mathematics with 19 students attaining the very highest grade 9 score

2015-16 Results

  • A Progress 8 score of +0.1 (indicating that students make more progress at Pleckgate than students of the same ability nationally)
  • Attainment 8 score: 45.68
  • % achieving the English Baccalaureate: 7%.
  • 60% achieved A*-C in English and mathematics
  • 74% 3 levels of progress and 48% 4 levels of progress in mathematics
  • 76% 3 levels of progress in English and 38% 4 levels of progress in English
