Our Year 7 pupils were invited to attend the Year 7 Mega Day hosted by IN4Group at Blackburn College. Pupils were selected for their dedication to the Computer Science Club or their outstanding attitude towards the subject.
The day began with pupils splitting into groups and using block-based programming to create precise algorithms that would program Sphero robots to follow a specific route. They then moved on to develop small programs using micro:bits and further explored block-based coding techniques.
Later in the day, pupils took part in a high-energy Cyber Security Challenge, which incorporated a range of exciting topics including cryptography, programming, encryption, encoding, and computing history.
All pupils remained highly motivated and focused throughout the event, representing Pleckgate with pride and enthusiasm.
