Year 7 Achievement Assemblies celebrate success and positivity

We proudly celebrated the achievements of our Year 7 pupils in our termly Achievement Assembly. The event was filled with excitement as pupils were recognised for their hard work, positive attitudes and contributions to school life.

Pupils were rewarded with a range of prizes including trophies, hampers and Easter eggs.

Head of Year 7, Mr Clegg, praised the year group, highlighting that the assemblies are an opportunity to recognise high achievers and celebrate what is a particularly positive and engaged year group. He noted how Year 7 pupils consistently take part in a variety of activities, including World Book Day competitions, where their creativity shines, as well as inter-tutor competitions such as football.

In addition, pupils were recognised across all subjects, with two pupils per subject receiving awards for their hard work and commitment this term, a fantastic reflection of the dedication shown across the curriculum.

A special mention goes to Muhammad Raihaan and Samaria, who won the 100% attendance prize draw. a fantastic achievement demonstrating commitment and dedication.

This half term also marked a historic moment, as Year 7 pupils achieved the prestigious Diamond Award for the first time ever. Congratulations to Issam, Musa, Amaan, Haider, Talha and Amna for this outstanding accomplishment.

The Tutor Group Award was proudly awarded to NJK in recognition of their consistent commitment to school life, positive attitude and active participation in enrichment opportunities. Ruqqayah, who received a tutor award, shared that she feels very happy and proud of her achievement.

Staff carefully selected pupils for the Values Awards, recognising those who truly embody the Pleckgate ethos:

  • Aspire Award: Adam – a role model who leads by example and excels in football. Adam said he felt proud to receive the award after working hard this term.
  • Believe Award: Hawwa – always smiling, actively involved in sports and believing in herself and others
  • Act Award: Atiya – positive, caring and always looking out for others
  • Succeed Award: Ashaaz – recognised for hard work and determination

The Headteacher and LPSO Awards were presented to Shifa, for being an inspiring pupil who consistently supports others, and Ibaad, for showing maturity by recognising challenges and working hard to improve.

A special shoutout also goes to Ayaan for receiving the Headteacher Award, and to Daliyah for her dedication to Music Instrumental Lessons, earning the Dedication Award.

There were also some fantastic individual achievements celebrated. Jasmine, who won an award for her exceptional World Book Day work, said she was “really happy to win” and shared that it took her a whole week to create her artwork, which she is incredibly proud of. Muhammed Eshaan, who impressively won three awards, said he is very proud of his accomplishments.

These assemblies truly reflected the spirit of Year 7 at Pleckgate, a year group full of enthusiasm, resilience and ambition. Well, done to all pupils recognised today.
