Pupils recently enjoyed an enriching trip to Skipton Castle, where their classroom learning was brought vividly to life.
Led by an expert guide, pupils explored key areas of the castle including the impressive banquet hall, historic kitchens and even the dungeon, gaining a real insight into life in medieval times.
Having studied castles in Year 7, pupils were able to make meaningful connections between their learning and what they experienced on the day, deepening their understanding in an engaging and memorable way.
The visit continued with a trip to the Craven Museum, where pupils completed the Medieval Trail. This interactive activity encouraged them to explore the museum, discovering key artefacts and information as they worked through a trail worksheet.
The trip was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to immerse themselves in history, combining hands-on learning with exploration beyond the classroom.
