We are proud to announce we have been awarded the British Council’s International Award Foundation Certificate: Introducing Internationalism.
The British Council recognised that Pleckgate’s ‘commitment to extending and embedding internationalism in your curriculum is a valuable aspect of your school ethos.’
It is recognition of the MFL Department’s enrichment work, under Mrs Jackson, during the last year.
The MFL Department have introduced international activities, which have enhanced our pupils’ understanding of other countries, cultures and global issues. Pleckgate will now have the support of the British Council and also have access to classroom resources and professional development opportunities to support international learning.
The letter, from the British Council, stated: “We hope you will continue to develop your work in this enriching area and that you will consider aiming for the Intermediate level and eventually to International School Award Accreditation.”
