Year 10 pupils were questioned about their future plans at our Mock Interview sessions.
Interviewers came into school from colleges and businesses to ask our Year 10s about their career ambitions, their subject choices and what they enjoy in and out of school.
The idea was to get them used to interview questions, build their interview confidence and look at how they can develop their interview techniques.
Fiona Jeal, Schools Advisor from DWP, said: “it was really well organised. We had plenty of time with the pupils and it was a good environment to interview them in.
“The pupils were great. They answered the questions and had a clear idea of where they want to go in the future. It showed they had talked about it and also had a lot of support within school about their career choices.”
Yamin Faruki, from an engineering company, said: “It’s been fun, the children are really interesting. Like any interviews, they are nervous at first but they soon open up. They have been well prepped and a lot have a firm career in mind.”
