This morning, Senior Prefects from Pleckgate High School were proud to represent the school at the Annual Remembrance Service held at Blackburn Cathedral.
The service provided a poignant opportunity to pay respects to the memories of all those who have lost their lives through conflict. Pupils joined civic leaders, veterans, and members of the local community in a united act of remembrance and reflection.
Following the service at the Cathedral, a United Service of Remembrance Parade formed on King William Street and made its way to the Corporation Park Gardens of Remembrance, where wreaths were laid in honour of the fallen.
Our pupils respectfully presented a wreath at the memorial as a symbol of gratitude and remembrance for the bravery and sacrifice of those who served in times of war and conflict.
The experience was both moving and meaningful, reminding everyone of the importance of remembering the past and continuing to work towards peace for future generations.
