The Pleckgate I has published it’s first edition.
This edition’s focus is on Medieval women. Pupils researched 15 key historical people from the past to write about their lives, how remarkable they were and how their stories still resonate with our pupils today.
Head of Department Martyn Bajkowski commented “The origins of this edition started when I read a book called Femina for the history book club. As a department we strive to present history and the world as it was and this offers a fantastic opportunity to explore some incredible women and include their history in our pupils’ understanding of the past. The pupils should be really proud of their efforts and I know that the entire school is already looking forward to the second edition.
