Our talented Year 9 artists have been exploring the bold and vibrant style of contemporary artist Sarah Graham, known for her striking, large-scale paintings of sweets and everyday objects.
Inspired by her work, pupils created their own mixed media sweet artworks, carefully studying tone, scale, colour blending and texture to achieve a realistic, eye-catching finish. The results are truly impressive, with each piece demonstrating patience, precision and a growing confidence in handling different materials.
Throughout the project, pupils developed their observational drawing skills and experimented with layering techniques to make their artwork “pop” from the page. The outstanding attention to detail and creativity on display highlights not only their artistic talent, but also their dedication and resilience.
