Celebrating Creativity: Eid Card Competition Success

In the lead up to Eid, pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9 were invited to take part in a special creative challenge during their Art lessons by designing an Eid card.

We were delighted by the incredible number of entries received, and the standard of artwork was truly outstanding. Pupils demonstrated fantastic creativity, care and attention to detail in their designs, using a wide range of colours, patterns and styles to beautifully capture the spirit of Eid.

Selecting winners was no easy task due to the high quality of submissions, but we are pleased to announce the following pupils as this year’s winners:

Year 7: Sumayyah and Ahmed
Year 8: Zoya and Abdur-Rahman
Year 9: Afia, Hania and Touiba

The inspiration behind the designs was just as impressive as the final pieces. Sumayyah shared that she was inspired by images she had seen online and wanted to recreate that style while incorporating her own unique patterns. Touiba explained that her love of flowers influenced her design, which is reflected in the intricate floral elements. Hania said she loves summer, which inspired her to create a bright and detailed piece based on that theme, while Zoya took inspiration from her sister’s Eid outfit, translating its colours and style into her design.

As part of the celebrations, the winning designs were turned into Eid cards which have been shared with parents, governors and staff, allowing our wider school community to enjoy and celebrate the pupils’ wonderful work.

A huge well done to all pupils who took part! Your creativity and enthusiasm truly shone through. We are incredibly proud of the talent within our school community.
