Year 11 celebrate final Achievement Assembly at Pleckgate

Year 11 pupils marked an important milestone this week as they took part in their final Achievement Assembly at Pleckgate High School, celebrating their hard work, resilience and successes as a year group.

Head of Year, Mrs Ryding, reflected on the significance of the occasion, saying: “This is a special milestone as it is the last achievement assembly for Year 11 at Pleckgate. That makes these awards even more meaningful, as we recognise everything you have achieved during your time here.”

Mrs Robinson added: “This is the perfect way to end the term. It is a huge achievement to receive an award and be recognised in front of your peers; you should all feel incredibly proud.”

To conclude the week of assemblies, the final attendance prize draw celebrated those pupils who have shown commitment to attending school. A significant number of pupils gained 100% Attendance this term, a fantastic accomplishment. From this group, Hasiba was randomly selected as the prize winner.

The weekly attendance award was also presented to Ali. This award recognises pupils who attend school every week, with their names entered a prize draw each time they achieve a full week. Congratulations to Saaqib, Zakariya, Ayaan, Maleeha, Rayan and Juwariya for achieving the highest number of points in the year group.

Mrs Ryding praised the group for their remarkable improvement, explaining that although attendance had previously been a challenge, this term they showed real determination to improve and achieved the highest attendance in the year group, a significant and commendable effort.

Awards for Best Effort in Tutor Groups, selected by Mrs Ryding and Mrs Patel, were presented to Zakariyah, Owais, Syed, Ehsan, Aminah, Fatima, Aisha, Aleesha, Uwais and Iqra for their consistent effort and positive contributions.
