We proudly celebrated the achievements of Year 8 pupils in a special Achievement Assembly, recognising those who have gone above and beyond in their learning and wider school life.
Head of Year, Mr Pickup, highlighted the importance of the event, explaining that the assembly symbolises the effort and hard work of pupils who consistently strive to succeed. He shared that it is an opportunity to applaud those who have achieved highly, while also celebrating the progress made by many across the year group.
Mr Hamilton reflected on the term, saying: “It is nice to look back at the achievements and progress from this term, and there have been huge improvements from our Year 8 pupils.”
Attendance was a key focus, with pupils entered a prize draw for achieving 100% attendance. The winners of an Amazon voucher were Khadeeja and Ali, demonstrating excellent commitment to their education.
Many pupils were also recognised for achieving a high number of achievements points this term. Gold Awards were presented to Aisha, Ibrahim, Eesa and Abubakr for their consistent effort and dedication.
A standout moment of the assembly was the presentation of the prestigious Diamond Award to Salma, who achieved an incredible milestone by receiving an achievement point from every single one of her subject teachers, a truly exceptional accomplishment.
The award for Best Tutor Group was given to 8FCH, recognised for always doing the right thing, working hard and demonstrating a positive attitude, often without seeking recognition. They were rewarded with a chocolate box to share as a group.
Tutor Group Awards were also presented to pupils who have gone above and beyond, actively participated in extracurricular activities and shown clear progress this term. A huge congratulations to Mohammed Anas, Mohammed-Rayhan, Sufyan, Abdullah, Dania, Hadiya, Sana, Hammaad, Umaymah and Yusuf.

A special congratulations goes to Halima, who received the Music Extracurricular Award in recognition of her hard work and commitment to music lessons.
Adding an element of excitement, Mr Pickup also entered the names of pupils who have made significant achievements this term into a prize draw wheel. These pupils were recognised for their efforts in areas such as attendance, achievement points, progress and behaviour. The lucky winner was Zaara.
