Year 9 Achievement Assembly celebrates success and dedication

Year 9 pupils were recognised and celebrated in a special achievement assembly, highlighting their hard work, commitment and positive contributions throughout the term.

Head of Year, Mr Bajkowski, praised the cohort, saying: “We have given a lot of awards out to this year group. The people who have been picked are special and have made a real commitment to the year group.”

Mrs Robinson also commented on the occasion, adding: “It’s impressive to see so many awards.”

Attendance was a key focus, with 55 pupils achieving 100% attendance this term, a fantastic accomplishment. From this group, Jessenia was selected as the prize draw winner.

In addition, pupils who achieved full weeks of attendance were entered into a wider prize draw, with entries increasing for each full week completed. From an impressive 455 entries, Fatima was announced as the winner.

Achievement points were another highlight of the assembly. A total of 114 pupils received the Bronze Award, 27 achieved Silver, and 7 pupils earned the prestigious Diamond Award, recognising over 400 achievement points across their subjects. Congratulations to Ummayma, Safaa, Amina, Zain, Ummara and Asiya for reaching this outstanding milestone.

Tutor groups were also recognised, with 9SMI named the best tutor group. They were described as “amazing, always calm and purposeful, with great wisdom shared within the group.”

Individual tutor awards were presented to pupils who consistently demonstrate positivity, contribution and leadership as role models. Well done to Muhammed, Hamza, Imaan, Aliciana, Safa, Zoya, Azka, Hassan, Amaan and Ismaaeel.

Subject awards, carefully selected by Heads of Department, recognised pupils who have shown exceptional interest and effort in their learning.

The Musical Dedication Award was presented to Eliza for her commitment and hard work in music lessons, while the Headteacher’s Award went to Zain for showing exceptional progress despite challenges.

School values were also celebrated through special awards chosen by Mr Bajkowski and Mrs Patel:

  • Aspire – Samiullah, for showing determination to improve and make better choices
  • Believe- Zenib, recognised for her positivity, enthusiasm and willingness to help others
  • Act – Aimee, for being a supportive and loyal friend
  • Succeed – Adil, described as quietly intelligent, kind and consistently hardworking
