Year 7 and 8 pupils celebrated their success in the Accelerated Reading Scheme with a visit from the poet John Siddique on Tuesday 19th July 2016. John is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Royal Literary Fund Consultant Fellow and holds the title of Honorary Creative Writing Fellow at Leicester University. The pupils were captivated by his readings, took part in a creative writing workshop and were inspired by his stories and experiences of the poet acclaimed as “one of the best poets of our generation”. Congratulations to all the many pupils who have worked hard this year and have enjoyed success in their reading; all pupils attending were millionaire or multi-millionaire word readers.
